It’ always a pleasure enjoy this CD
Such a perfect smooth jazz , in some way this music has the power to lift your soul, follow that path, let the sound help you find a peaceful spot, no matter where your body is.

I hadn’t heard of Soren before this offer popped up on Facebook; and I didn’t know what I was missing. This sort of genre of slow jazz is a longtime favorite of mine. I particularly like Keith Jarrett in his more elegaic moods (The Melody at Night, with You) and Tord Gustavsen. Soren fits right into that mode of music-making, and does it proud. Lovely music, and I look forward to exploring more of it.

Music of the Soren Bebe (trio) came to me through Facebook. Jazz was not in my interest anymore since my 1970’s. It opened my ears and mind again. Listening to Soren, Anders and Kasper did not impress at first. Youtube introduced other Northern Jazz that interested more, but! That changed. Slowly I heard how, can’t put it otherwise, loving and carefully the notes were performed. The way chords were ordered, was more than plain jazz, it had a jazzy feel, but also uplifting and flowing. Percussion so in balance and supporting, and the playfull interaction between piano and base, as if they filled in eachothers lines, sometimes was moving. It silenced me, and I discovered that during prayer and meditation, it was great to have it in the background. After that the music grows on me more. As a trio it’s tuned, to a whole, in solo, the notes reach your soul. Well done.

Superb performances on these two trio CDs. Here Søren Bebe plays with Kasper Tagel on bass and Anders Mogensen on drums. “Home” was mixed and mastered by the famous Jan Erik Kongshaug at Rainbow Studio in Oslo. The sound and recording quality on both these releases is superb. I only discovered this trio recently and it became one of my favorite piano trios.
