Live at Jazzhus Montmartre from Søren Bebe Trio was recorded on February 28, 2025 at the legendary Copenhagen jazz club Jazzhus Montmartre.
It was a completely sold-out evening, with the room filled to the very last seat and an audience that listened with a rare kind of presence and attention. You can almost feel the silence between the notes.
There was something special in the air that night. Maybe it was the intimacy of the room, maybe the energy from the audience – but it brought out a more playful and spontaneous side of the trio. The music moves freely, with moments of risk, subtle interaction, and a sense of togetherness that only happens in a live setting.
This recording captures that evening as it unfolded – honest, present, and alive.
“Live at Jazzhus Montmartre is 41 minutes of pure jazz bliss if you’re into this Scandinavian style that you’ll often find from various artists on the ECM label….Listen to their cover of Billy Joel’s “And So It Goes” to hear the most beautiful rendition of this you’ve ever heard.” Neil Gelowitz, Everest Audio

A beautiful record. Good to listen and to look at. The colored vinyl, the b/w photos and off course the music. The long versions of the songs shine in a bright light. The atmosphere and the brilliant live sound with the band members improvisations satisfy my soul. A real masterpiece. Thank you for the music !!
