I got a couple of cd’s earlier in the year and play them so much I couldn’t resist ‘upgrading’ to vinyl.
Thank you, Soren for all your hard work getting your music out there

Grazie Soren

Soren Bebe Trio’s music has made my studio a better place to be. At the end of the day, when I look at my work I can almost hear Soren’s unique arrangements, Kasper and Anders warm sounds. I just love your calm, soothing Nordic jazz .
Thank you so much from Canada

I came across the Soren Bebe Trio from their Facebook advertisement. I am so glad that I did. The music is beautiful, calming, soothing. You can really kick back, relax and unwind. The recording quality is superb. I now have all the albums released on vinyl, and will continue to collect and listen to them as more are released.

About this music. It is clearly pensive, deliberate, atmospheric and contemplative. I listen to jazz almost exclusively when working in my studio. I am especially drawn to the classic era of jazz of the 50s and early 60s and of pianists I am especially drawn to Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, and Errol Garner. For more contemporary artists I listen to Ludovico Einaudi, Kieth Jarret and Amad Jamal.
For me the common denominator is rhythmic complexity, melodic lines, and chordal surprise. Most importantly I can either listen deeply, or when working just immerse myself in the tonal bath. But the key is all of this music supports whatever task Ia am engaged with.
Soren Bebe’s music is very different from what I usually listen to. because of the slow, deliberate pace and structure overlaid with passages of flourishing notes I find that I can’t listen to it while engaged in something else, like my work. Rather it demands attention. It is not, strictly speaking, consonant with my usual understanding of the jazz idiom other than of course the near constant improvisation. The light percussion in the background doesn’t really act as a necessary warp and weft for the tapestry of notes that sit above it whereas for most jazz it is the rhythm section that grounds everything.
So my reaction is this: Soren is clearly a gifted player, but his music is demanding on the part of the listener. And if you are not prepared in the moment to satisfy that demand you might be forced to back up and re-listen, like a difficult passage in a book that needs more than one reading.
    Thanks for the record.
