Germany at last

Brazil, Korea, Hong Kong, Morocco and Denmark: Søren Bebe Trio has played in all these locations. And yet not, until now, in Germany, even though it’s just a couple of hours from Copenhagen by car.

All that’s going to change next week, however, when the Trio performs at Hamburg’s Club Golem (courtesy of Fatjazz) on Wednesday 15 June, followed on Friday 17 June by the fifth Lichtenrader Jazzfest in Berlin. “I’m so happy about these gigs” says an excited Søren. “We’ve done three ‘showcase’ concerts in Germany before – two at Jazzahead in Bremen, plus another one for Danish Vibes in Hamburg. But these were not stand-alone Søren Bebe Trio gigs as such, in that they involved promotional line-ups of several different Danish performers.”

Another set of concerts in Germany has also now been confirmed for the Trio in the autumn. The performances have been scheduled to coincide with the release of Søren Bebe Trio’s new, fifth album (see our previous News story), and the details will be published on this site’s Calendar page soon.

“It’s just wonderful to be featuring as the main attraction at two very well-known and respected German venues this month” Søren says. He’s now marked this milestone by setting up a newsletter especially for his and the Trio’s fans in Germany. As with the Danish and English versions, everyone who signs up will get seven free downloads of Søren’s music (go here for details).

There’s also a new competition on Søren Bebe Trio’s Facebook page to win one of three copies of the Trio’s Eva album (or a previous release of each winner’s choice). The closing date is 17 June, and the lucky winners will be notified on 18 June.

The only thing you need to do to take part in Søren’s draw is to copy the link to the video in the Søren Bebe Music post headed “COMPETITION” and dated Wednesday 8 June. Then you just share it on your own page, preferably to as many friends as possible.

“What could be easier?!” says a cheerful Søren.
