Recognized as one of Europe’s most lyrical and distinctive jazz pianists, Søren Bebe returns with his trio for their ninth studio album, Gratitude
a deeply personal reflection on thankfulness, connection, and the beauty of life’s quiet moments.

Gratitude is set for release on January 30, 2026 via From Out Here Music.

Formed in 2007, the trio has evolved into a leading voice in Scandinavian jazz, drawing comparisons to Tord Gustavsen and Esbjörn Svensson for their melodic clarity, emotional depth, and contemplative Nordic sensibility. With more than 5.5 million streams of their previous album Here Now on Spotify alone, the group’s music continues to resonate across borders.

At its core, Gratitude is an expression of appreciation for the trio’s dedicated listeners, for the joy of creating music together, and for the simple gift of being able to do what they love. “It’s an album for our fans,” says Bebe. “We’re grateful to have people who connect with our music, write to us, and share how it’s touched their lives.”

That sense of sincerity runs through the album’s nine tracks, blending lyrical originals with heartfelt tributes to musical heroes. The trio’s version of Billy Joel’s “And So It Goes” captures the song’s quiet emotional power, while Abbey Lincoln’s “Throw It Away” nods to John Scofield, one of Bebe’s earliest influences. These interpretations sit naturally alongside introspective originals like Tystrup Sø, named after a lake near Bebe’s home in Sorø, Denmark.

Musically, Gratitude builds on the trio’s established sound: elegant, melodic, and steeped in Nordic atmosphere, while subtle new shades emerge through Bebe’s recent inspirations in Mette Henriette, Mats Eilertsen, and Harmen Fraanje. The result is a record that feels both grounded and expansive, understated yet emotionally rich.

Beyond the studio, the trio’s connection with their audience remains at the heart of their success. Their music features regularly on major Spotify and Apple Music jazz playlists, and they’ve performed at top festivals including London Jazz Festival, SXSW (USA), Hong Kong Jazz Festival, and Jarasum Jazz Festival in South Korea.

To celebrate the release, Søren Bebe Trio will embark on an extensive European tour, with concerts in Denmark, United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, France, and Romania.
